So Its my first time going to Europe! Im going for 4 days! One night in Paris, one night in Madrid, and one night in Avila Spain!

I just have a some questions!

The flight from PHL to CDG is on US Airways A330, its wide open. Traveling under ID-90. Is there any cost to get upgraded into Envoy? Can I just buy the gate agent chocalates?

What is there to do in Paris beside the sight seeing? Any good tips for a 19 year old?

Im taking Ryanair from Paris to Madrid, anybody ever flown on them? They sound like an airline that treats people badly for some reason. But it was a very cheap tickets.

Any tips in night life in Madrid or Paris?

Any body alse in any of those cities around those dates?

    Thank You

    Hi!!!

Word to the wise, Any bag that you check with FR (Ryanair) is gonna cost you. Don´t remember how much, but cheaper if you do it online and not at the airport. Also, check to see if they charge you for NOT checking in online. Somehow I always hear they will nickel and dime you for everything. Paris is great but quite expensive, I prefer Madrid. Have a GREAT trip!!

It looks like Ryanair only flies out of BVA, about 50 miles north of the city... that's one thing they're pretty well-known for doing, choosing out of the way airports. Do you have a way to get there, or am I wrong about that?

Ryan Air is a low cost carrier, very successful. You pay for everything, but let's face it, you do on many airlines now - including checking bags.
Since you work for an airline, I would advise taking an interline ticket on another carrier.

Paris is expensive and I live in London !

You have allocated very little time to really see very much. Paris can be accomplished in a couple of days, providing you're NOT going to actually enter any of the sites : I.e. see Notre Dame from the outside, Eiffel Tower etc.
The sites are well arranged in so much as being fairly close to each other. For the short time you are there, I would recommend buying a ticket on a site seeing bus and not getting off !

Madrid is a beautiful city too, compact.

As a 19 year old ....... What are you looking for - Straight bars/gay? Dance clubs?

If you're heading to Europe to Party, there are other cities that offer a lot more !

Im straight and will love to go dancing somewhere to see pretty french girls! jajajaja

All i'm taking with me is a back pack! No checked bags! Also I will check in online with Ryanair so there is no charge or wait at the airport.

I actually got a hold of one of my aunts whose husband has an condo in Paris and it looks like he is in town for the next two months, so I will be staying with them near downtown Paris. So Paris will be a three day trip now, and Madrid will be a one day one night thing.

Does anyone know how much the tour buses run for?

google hop on hop off paris somewhere around $20E
if you do we prefer late am or early afternoon since they run tkt ofr 24 hrs so you cna always go back to something next day

google paris bicycles and you can rent a bike for the day--hours or all day--pay for 2 hrs, leave it at the marked stands, see museum etc, come back get another or same bike--it's a major program in the city

get some hints from luxurylink.com--go to community section then EU then look up posts from contributor who lives ther half the year--she's a whiz at things to see/ do--one of her last posts was about the cemeteries in paris--jim morrison etc
her name is either LL_travelfan or LHBrown (old posts)

    You want to dance?
In Europe, many of the serious dance clubs are actually gay. In Paris for example, ' Queen ' 102 Av. Champs Elysees is gay, but attracts a mixed crowd intent on dancing. It's a venue where many top European DJ's spin, Tiesto and the like. It's location and reputation make it pricey.
Don't be put off by the ' gay ' tag ... It started as a gay club and like so many intent on ' dance ' gay clubs are usually where the vibe starts, word gets around and they evolve.
I think they would probably have their own web site, try www.queen.fr ... I think the cover charge is about 20 Euros, I was there last probably 2 years ago.
Sanz Sans is another good one, located in the Bastille area Rue du Faubourg.

In Europe dress code rulez. If you're going to straight clubs expect a degree of clothing snobbery.
I could go on with clubs, but check out http://www.nightfloor.com/boite-de-nuit_paris ... In French but you will get by, it has a day by day listing.

There are a number of bars with either indie type bands of ' dance bar ' categories ... Crowded places would be La Fourmi Ailée, Metro station Anvers.
    Les Folies metro station Belleville.

Forget to go to any night club before 1am.

To be honest, it's difficult to give recommendations in a city like Paris because the choice is huge. One thing to remember, it ain't cheap, you'll soon discover.
No doubt you will find yourself on the Champs Elysees at some stage. My opinion it's tack - up there as one of the finest addresses in the world and pure tack.
It will be hard to miss the Buddha Bar on the Elysees. Lots of tourists and outrageously expensive.

3 days is a good duration. You will have the opportunity to see a fair bit. Sample the night life, I hope you find something and some nice French mademoiselles

Thank you guys! So much information is nice to have when going to a place I've never been too! I've been practicing my french in the office for the last couple of days! Just the basics.

Anyone ever heard anything about Discoteca Kapital in Madrid?
