BA has been forced to cancel a "small number" of flights serving airports in Italy today due to industrial action in the country.
Services from Milan Linate, Venice and Bologna have been affected by the 24-hour walkout by airport ground handlers.
BA said all airlines were being affected by the dispute.
"We are doing all we can to minimise the effects of the industrial action," the airline said. "We have re-timed a number of flights and are also using larger aircraft where possible."
Passengers were urged to check the status of their flights before leaving for the airport.
"We apologise for the inconvenience this industrial action in Italy will cause and will update our flight information on a regular basis," BA said.
EasyJet said: "Like all airlines, easyJet’s flights to and from MXP, VCE and Milan Linate airports will be affected and we apologise for any inconvenience caused, despite this being beyond the airline’s control.
"We are doing everything possible to minimise the impact to our customers and we have proactively taken the decision to cancel some flights to allow customers to re-organise their travel plans."
More than 25 flights to and from Italian airports have been cancelled by RyanAir
