British Airways has announced it will increase capacity by 784 seats a week on flights between LHR and NBO for summer 2016 through the introduction of a Boeing 747-400 on the route.
The airline has taken the decision due to the growing sales and increased demand for Kenya it is seeing in the UK.
The 747s will operate during the peak four-month travel period to Kenya from July 1st to October 29th, introducing a total of 11,200 seats into Nairobi this summer.
From October 30th the airline plans to revert to its original Boeing 777 on the route.
Edward Frost, British Airways commercial manager for South and East Africa said: “We’ve always said that we would add capacity if the opportunity arose.
