Does anyone know what USAir's dress policy is for non-revs? Is denim allowed if it is nice and dressy?

As far as I know they are allowed. You may want to check on the website at www.usairways.com or call the res number.
Sorry for not a better answer. I am fleet service so don't deal with psgrs

Yes, nice or dressy jeans are permitted but only in coach. If your'e planning on upgrading to first you have to wear a dress, nice skirt or pants outfit. Men have to wear dress pants and a collared shirt, in coach as well. No sweat suits, pants or sweatshirts at anytime. You may also wear tennis shoes, but only in coach. Hope this helps, and have fun!
Thanks for the help! I wound up calling USAir and they're very lenient on nonrevs in coach. I was able to wear comfortable jeans and clean tennis shoes without a problem. Sure was nice to be comfortable for a change!
Hi :-)
Regarding dresscode.
I work for an airline.
So i know & understand the rules regarding clothing for ID psgrs.
It´s understandable, that it is best to ware nice/neat clothes.
But when you think about it. Any full fare First/businessclass psgr. can wear what ever they want to.
So what´s the difference!!
Understand what i am talking about? :-)
A full fare psgr. can not see that you are traveling non-rev..
So what´s the problem.. Heheh
Get my point?
Brgds
Mike.
All I know is that since the relaxation of dresscodes my nonrev spotting percentage has taken a nose dive, luckily DFW is still a spotter's paradise. (see attached )

You don't want to dress up to much anymore or everyone will think your a FAM.
Hey, I was checking out this site www.passrider.com and found that they've written a guide that talks about how to non-rev. It includes a piece on "Dress Code." You may want to take a look at <a href="http://www.passrider.com/shopping/muguides.htm" target="_blank">http://www.passrider.com/shopping/muguides.htm</A>.

I worked for USAirways for 16 years and I am now happily retired. When I began my career all non-revs were required to wear a coat and tie, no jeans were allowed in either coach or business nor were tennis shoes allowed. The policy changed for coach non-revs but remained unchanged for business class non-revs though the tie requirement was waived. I have done my share of non-reving on OA and I have always dressed in a coat and tie. I have been upgraded on OA (especially AA in Miami) without asking though I never ask the gate agents the reason. Dressing nicely is painless and has its rewards.
