If you are a US Green Card holder - and you hold a passport for a country that requires a Schengen visa - does the Green Card waive the requirement for a Schengen visa (another way to say this is that US citizens do not require a Schengen visa - does that carry over to Green Card holders too?)

Travelling through FRA in a few weeks and although I am not planning to stay, if I get bumped off the flight will I need a visa. If I dpn't have one, can I get a temporary cisa at the airport?

    Thanks.

the green card does not waive the schengen visa. so if you get bumped you have to stay in the transit area.unfortunately you won't be able to get visa upon arrival.
