Hi all!
I currently have a non-rev ticket (ZED fare), which is ticketed from LHR to BEY. What are the chances of an agent in LHR allowing me to use it to DAM instead (same zone, would have been the same fare)? I've heard that while ZEDs allow you to take any airline with an agreement, they are VERY strict about holding to the routing. Does anyone know in particular how BMI (BD) is in such situations? Also, someone suggested I might want to take the ticket to another carrier with whom we do not have a pass agreement. This person said that in many cases, especially overseas, they would not have a clue nor would bother checking and would just take the ZED ticket, since they'll be compensated in any event. This sounds a little fishy to me, since I have heard of carriers we have agreements with, who sometimes won't even take a ZED fare ticket, even though, in theory, they should!
Any and all comments would be truly appreciated.
