Everything that I hear lately has been quite negative when it comes to the airline industry. I would like to point out the one positive that seems to be missed. First off I want to say that I want the airline industry to be as succesful as possible. Whatever happens though the airline industry will survive. It has to. It is something that we can't live with out. With that said I have noticed that places we used to think were impossible to travel to in the summer are now possible. This fall we will be able to go just about anywhere whenever we want. There are going to be great deals for hotel and cruises etc. I plan on making up for a lot of travel that I missed out on due to high loads. Are any of you as optimistic as I am?

I don't think anyone would think the airline industry would NOT survive--it's a matter of need.
So, if multiple carriers decrease the number of flights the loads will be lighter, even tho a finite number of people still need to fly on those decreased routes?
I'd like to be optimistic but I don't think the concept of "less is more" in this case. I sure hope you're right...
