The cozy suite- building a better airline seat

    The Cozy Suite

Delta will be the launch customer for the "cozy suite". Slated to be installed in one hundred 777 and 767's beginning in 2010.

Drawbacks-- the seats don't recline backwarks and the armrests don't move; however on the bright side, if your seatmate falls asleep you'll no longer have to keep lifting his head off your shoulder as he snores and drools on you.

What do you think, thumbs up.

I like it. Clearly it has been done for economical reasons - the added seat per row, and you can't really blame them.

I'm wondering if the seat could recline "into itself" - like the new CX economy seats do. Basically the bottom rolls forward and the back down to simulate a recline.

Look fwd to them introducing it on the SYD route, and changing our agreement from ID75 to ZED so I can afford to check it out

As I recall, the seat bottom lowers and slides forward.
