Hey folks - can someone tell me what companions pay for on Delta? I know NW 'Buddy passes' can be VERY expensive - Do they pay a yield fare or...?

yield fare based on distance + fees for buddy passes (since I married the emp, I'm not sure what the price diff is now, but it isn't alot for companion vs buddy, but they are different priority, etc.)

example: CVG/LGA $80ish, BOS/TLV/AMS/BOS $400ish (he got biz both ways) hope that helps

add change fees/excess baggage as needed, rinse and repeat....

Now with the new policy - does my Travel Companion pay the yield fare? Looks like they have unlimited travel now....

Travel companion gets unlimited travel at an S3 priority. They also get 6 S2s to use each year. They must pay a yield fare which is about 85-90% of a buddy pass fare. It's roughly 5cents a mile. SEA-JFK would be about $250r/t.

Do you mean travel companion or domestic partner?

The Travel companion - as apposed to a domestic partner. Not a 'Buddy' but the person I chose as I am single in every sense of the word (Bah).

Probably still limited to 18 TO's (same as spouse/partner) but I'm not positive. No limit domestic travel or system (N-S America) but no zed privs
