First let me say welcome aboard Offroader/Tony. Always nice to see someone leap from "mystery guest" to "registered member/poster".![]()
Awwww, the subtleties of THE HUB.When I arrived at the airport the numbers were bad. I was actually watching Delta's travelnet site while the plane was loading. It was showing 2 seats with 5 non rev in front of me. They called two and now they showed zero, even on the screens at the gate it showed 0 seats. So, I was thinking about my options of flying out the next day or not going. Then I hear my name called. Great, even with no seats showing available I think 4 more non revs made it out.

--a place where you can go from 'on without a problem' to 'falling back on plan C'
OR,
from 'oversold-no way no chance, no how' to 'relaxing in F with champagne'
all in the time it takes a delayed flight/pax to "suddenly"show up or a flight/pax to miss its'/their connection. It's really a thrill a minute.
Nonrev Rule of the Hub- NEVER leave the gate or relax on board -until wheels up. (because you never know)
As far as Palms clearing his posts, as one who has a number of "orphan posts" and a blog entry (Cruisin Illinois ) with no replies, I know how discouraging zero replies can be. You do begin to wonder if anyone is reading/interested/enjoying your posts.
All I can say, and this is to all, is that feedback/comments or even just a smiley, is important, it lets the author knows that you're out there, enjoying/appreciating their efforts. It also makes for an active board.![]()
