Trolls like moving around stirring up on one site, then another. Is that what you say we got here now?

I'm not saying cobrakev is a troll; I just noticed that the "other" one changed his name.. Maybe he's getting a rep (as I mentioned the "incendiary" comments there) and made a move to temper it? no idea....
    so, welcome

I never went to usaviation.com, but checked it out. Seems like a pretty good web site. I learned from there that UAL retirees go behind active employees in the merger. How does your airlines do it? This is my take on the issue. Active employees SHOULD go first over retirees because they are more detrimental to the operation. Active employees must get back to home base to work on airplanes that RETIREES fly on. Secondly, active employees don't have the lesiure and time to hang around airports waiting to hitch a ride, whereas a retiree has more time to get back home, more flexible in comparison to an active employee needing to get back to work. Would suck to have to compete with those guys to try and get back to your base. Thirdly, I'm an active employee and its ALL ABOUT ME! I'm glad somebody had sense to do the right thing there. I'm sure in other instances, others, or myself may not be happy about some things going the other way.

Same at Delta and I agree, it's all about Boss (and me!) NW used to have policy that execs at certain levels could show up on any flight and bump off any active higher DOH seniority employee just because they were execs. Good thing they didn't keep that rule. We've had a pretty good mix of rules of both airline rules for nonrev.

We've been amassing miles to use for upgrades on rev tickets when he retires. Most of my old business ones have been used!!

29 palms...CO Retirees have always been loaded after active employees, so the new UA rules change nothing with regard to onload order. Got to admit the new staff travel is much better than the old CO scheme.....just need to get electronic ticketing in place!!
Cheers, Flasher, a CO retiree of 14 years!!!

There you are Flasher. How are you doing? I understand that retirees with UAL/CO under the new merger will have a better deal in that you will be able to go ahead of SA4's travelling alone. (I think before they were at the bottom of the pile.) Plus you will be getting like some vacation passes. Also, I understand the old CONTINENTAL way of doing business with the management staff, or "White shirts" will no longer be automatically flying above the "Rank and file" employees. It will be based soley on seniority.
