I have always heard of Wisconsin Dells, anyone been there or know anything about it?

we used to go to the Dells all the time in our old family camping days. I was too young to know that it was like Gatlinburg across the Cheddar Curtain.

I go to La Crosse pretty often, actually! Used to go twice a week for a class at UW-L, but thankfully I'm done with that. Now I go every month or two for one of my jobs delivering pharmaceuticals from a warehouse next to the airport to a few places in the Eau Claire area, with stops along the way. You need to go up Granddad's Bluff and eat at Jeff and Jim's pizza. Then come up to EAU (about 90 miles north) and say hi to me
Wisconsin Dells are ok, but more of a touristy waterpark kind of place.
Edit: PS, if you're able to make it to the Eau Claire area, shoot me a PM. We can work something out and I'll show you around. It's a really scenic drive, too... especially if you take highway 93.
Thanks for the offer Spongebue. You been to the dells?

Well, I'm sure there are enough other things to do in the Dells besides the waterpark, but it seems like lately that's been the major competing factor in hotels lately. I think there are probably 3 "largest waterparks in America" there :P. Maybe think of it as kind of like Branson, MO? There aren't quite as many shows, but it's definitely a tourist-based town no matter how you spin it.
very tourist-y....very expensive.
