Default PRG Question for the Queen of Prague and or Others Who Have Been There!

Hey Everybody! I hope everyone's morning has started well. Just a quick question for Mrs767er or anyone else who has been to Prague, My girlfriend and I am doing a spur of the moment trip there this weekend, we've never been before and in fact she has never nonrev'ed with me. She'll be flying as my companion and as such if something were to happen with the return flight won't be able to use ZED. My question then is this, what would be some good backup options? Euro budget to CDG,AMS,BRU? Train to CDG,AMS,BRU? The direct DL JFK flt isn't back until Tuesday. We're planning on leaving on Sunday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Uh…oh now you’ve done it, M767er “Queen of Prague“. Now M767er will be wanting us to call her “your majesty’.

haha Mig--I prefer my correct title, The Contessa. Just a bit more mysterious than Queen and signifies gender more accurately!

Hmm--I've only taken OK (Czech Air). Others I know do the train--are you really only spending one night in Prague? There is no nonstop on Sunday. Check your flights--frequency is Fri and Sat to PRG, no flight Sun. Boss just got back yesterday---weather was excellent!!
Train options would be FRA, DUS(?) Stuttgart or look at whichbudget.com to find LCC options to fly; reconnect to US, based on loads.
    Where are you staying?

RE: trains to AMS/CDG/BRU--really really LONG!!!
I think Berlin is about 5 hours plus station time to/from

Hmmm....according to travelnet FLT 211 operates on Sunday?? Seats look good so we were banking on two nights....but if that flt doesn't operate I suppose we will look elsewhere...haven't decided on accommodations, due to the last minute nature of trip I thought your contact for apartments might be cutting it close and was planning on waiting until tomorrow afternoon when the load situation firms up....we're leaving from JFK, I don't think I specified...I should have consulted a map, I didn't even think Germany haha oooops

I have checked and re-checked. I know that NY rotation doesn't fly JFK/PRG on Nov 13 (or other Sundays). It connects thru AMS or CDG on codeshares (can your companion fly those since they're operated by KL and AF?) If you arrive on Monday, you depart Tuesday that's as much as I get on a 24 hour layover. I thought I was the only one crazy enough to only spend a day in Prague when the Boss flies it!
It's still a great place for a "quickie" hahahaha.
take a look at # 19 residence thunovska, too. they might have some specials. tell them Delta. there are also some good apts/inexpensive hotels recommended on tripadvisor.com--Tilly41 and Torii and praguepivo are all good sources.

After reading and re-reading this conversation I think I figured out the problem, and such will be more clear from here on out hahaha, my fault Mrs767er. We are leaving JFK today for PRG, that means we would land tomorrow 11/11, stay till Sunday 11/13 and jump on the PRG JFK flt that afternoon. I think I was confusing you into thinking we were trying to go the reverse route on Sunday, again my apologies! Quick last few questions, one world answer, straight off the top of your head......hotel or apartment? Best pub in Prague? Ready....GO!

U Provaznice (Provaznicka 3, Prague 1, 11:00-24:00) at a modest 235kc (a bit over 11 US dollars) for a savory and smoked meal.
AKA the Ropemaker's Wife--not far from old town sqaure

Boss ate at Kolkovna near edge of Jewish Quarter--liked it alot

U medvidku (sp?) everyone knows this famous brewpub (pivovarski)

Mala Strana area below castle is fun to stroll returning from castle (see St Nicholas and teh CAthedral (they charge for the cathedral now--worth the $)
Old Town is action, tourists and plenty of sights (watch teh rpices at restaurants near the sqaure and don't take bread/butter if you don't wantit cuz they charge extra! also pretzels) eat well, walk alot and have a drink for me!
Apt or hotel? ck w/Josef for local experience at his bldg, or small hotel OT area

PS--I knew I wasn't wrong about that rotation! It's our fave.

Very Nice, I'll be sure to let you know how the trip turns out....Does that FLT info make sense now/those FLTs do operate right? I'm not seeing things or travelnet isn't playing a nasty trick on me?

I never tumbled on the flt #. I know those but didn't catch it the direction! Blonde moment here. Get confused about Tuesday, too.
It looks like you're set and likely will get biz class. Cheers!!
