Despite being a low cost carrier, they do not charge outrageous fees for things like bringing on a carry on bag, printing a boarding pass at the airport and as mentioned, they give free snacks. I've only flown them as a revenue pax since if you book far enough in advance, the difference between a zed fare and a confirmed ticket is not that much and is worth the piece of mind of a confirmed seat. There is also no charge to check your first bag. JetBlue also does not oversell seats so if the flight you choose to go on is open, you would only have to worry about how many other nonrevs there are on the flight. Keep in mind travel around Thanksgiving, which falls on Nov 22 this year can be a busy time and difficult for non revs, especially the Wed before and Sun after.
