Default United Club Membership worth it?

I am thinking about purchasing a United Club membership. For a nonrev traveler on United is it worth it? How are the facilities and service?

The price on United.com $525 for a one year membership, does united offer any discounts on the membership or is there a better/cheaper route to go?

My DL is just as good for $100 cheaper. Free drinks , food , wi-fi and fids to watch flight. They will page you when it's time to board. In ATL Concourse A sometimes they will have full breakfast (Oats, Waffles, fruit, yogurt) before 8am.

I have an AA Admirals Club membership. Nice place to hang out as opposed to staying in the terminal and with free wifi, you can keep an eye on last minute load changes. Most clubs (AA & UA, not sure about DL) now offer complimentary house cocktails in domestic clubs. The int'l clubs have pour your own liquor. Also, if you end up spending the whole day at the airport, some clubs have showers.

for $450 you can get an Amex card that includes $200 in airline charges (food, drinks on board or bag/change fees) I tied mine to DL and get reimbursed within days. Includes Global Entry reimbursement $100 for 5 yrs, 3 yr membership w/Priority Pass lounges all over the world. Also several airline clubs for a year. Starwood Gold upgraded membership. Only bad thing is that it's for one person. You can add another card member for $175. We use ours all the time (even tho we already paid for GE). Consideringour discounted price on SkyClub alone. it's worth it! (we can't use Skyclub card at all those other lounges)
When my husband is commuting in street clothes, he uses the club, too. Not sure what other airlines are
included. There are other perks included--check American Express Plat card bennies.
