Yes, Buddy, There is a Santa Claus!!
My nephew was agonizing about choosing the right date to go on his latest adventure on a buddy pass. He ended up getting the last Economy Comfort seat to Santiago, Chile tonite.
I just got an email that they bumped him up to the last seat in business elite--apparently a rev pax did a no-show, according to the list.

PS--He's buying a motorcycle from a guy who's leaving the Peace Corps. He'll be zipping around Patagonia for a month or two--has anyone been there--any tips?

Perfect time of year to go to SCL. Weather is similar to say COS in the summer. 80f days 55f nights. last time I went I was told to go to Confiteria Torres and it was great. One of the oldest Cafe's in Santiago. Presidents have been there too.
