    This is strange. I've been looking at UA's system for every transpac flight I can think of (PEK, NRT, HKG, PVG) going eastbound, since that would make sense given the time. Nothing showing up. Probably not a charter, since I don't see anything on flightaware.

    Must be a NRT flight. Flights to NRT go right over Anchorage. Great place to divert to. It's geographically located between Narita and U.S. mainland.
