Default Buying Club Passes on E-Bay

I've noticed threads about whether getting a club membership for an airline is worth it. One thing I always did - as a United nonrevver - was purchase one-time passes on E-bay. Just search for "United Club Pass" and you'll see them come up. Sometimes they're sold in pairs, or individual. On average, I typically get one for $12-$14 (usually free shipping) which is fantastic because the value of a single pass is $50.

Lounges are a relaxing place to hangout between connecting flights or before a flight out if you're at the airport early. The ones for United have breakfast in the morning, complimentary snacks, and free alcoholic beverages. Free wifi, free newspapers and periodicals, and even showers in some lounges are part of the deal as well.

Not too sure but other airlines may have passes available on E-bay as well. I know I've seen some for Delta.

    Cheers

Good grief, I've never even thought about looking for them on ebay. Wish I would have thought of it earlier as I'm looking at a 6 hr layover at a UA hub and this would have been awesome to have this weekend.

Just be sure to check the seller feedback before buying. I've been looking for DL Sky Club passes on ebay to check out the new Sky Deck that opened at the new T4 and one person's feed back said that he/she was selling fake passes. I bought from someone else instead and they should arrive this week. One thing I learned about DL is you can buy a 30 day pass for $90 and you are allowed to bring in 2 guests.

Heck, if you've got 2 people with you it could be worth it to buy it on the spot, assuming no advance purchase is required. $30/person isn't too terrible if you'll be around for a while, and you'll quite possibly fly back with them a few days later.

I have to admit that it never even crossed my mind to look for day passes on Ebay. Thanks!
