Only 1 - Shake Shack JFK. Haven't been to the actual airport location in T4 but love the burgers, fries and of course shakes at the Madison Park location in NYC.

Other "write in" nominees, if I may include - Cousin's BBQ DFW, La Carreta MIA & Chick-Fil-A ATL.

Horray for Chick-fil-A! Man, the lines have been ridiculous lately. I am partial to French Meadow's(MSP) Apple Turnovers...

I've stopped by French Meadow a couple times, but generally it's a little expensive for my tastes. Otherwise, I'm a fan of Que Bueno at DEN.

I hear you sponge, that's why I get a turnover and coffee for $6. That's my limit..

Oh, and on that note, why is SFO so ridiculously expensive, at least in the UA terminal? Pretty much every time I've been through there was during breakfast time, and Burger King was always my saving grace for something reasonable. Today I arrive in, and they've got construction barriers surrounding the place. So everywhere else had $8 croissant sandwiches and things like that. Honestly, not one "staple" in the terminal, unless you include Peet's coffee and tea (which is more for drink than food as far as I know). I'm all for individual shops, but when they're charging as much as they are (even more than the usual "airport premium") I'll pass, or at least minimize my breakfast to a $3 bagel with cream cheese. Right next to the $3.50 bagel with cream cheese.

Ha I hear ya about SFO. Something to always remember...always ask for your airline employee discount! I did this while I was stuck in NRT and SYD, surprisingly they smiled and gave it to me! In SYD, even got a "employee meal", which was an omelet, home fries, toast and cawfee for 6 bucks!! FTW!

My fave in the AM in LAX are the breakfast burritos from the employee cafeteria on the lower level.
