Honestly, as a Denver resident, the pot thing is pretty overblown. Yes, there are quite a few shops out there. Most of them have been around for a long time, since it's been legal for medicinal reasons long before Amendment 64 passed and there are shops for that. And getting a prescription for that is NOT very hard, from what I've heard.

Anyway, pot may be a bonus reason to visit for some, but I highly doubt that it's a main attraction for most people. Honestly, those interested in smoking probably already do, and any savings in Colorado is surely outweighed by the cost of a ticket. And yes, there are plenty of other things in Denver and the rest of Colorado. We've been growing like wildfire (ok, given a couple summers ago, maybe that's not a good analogy ) so I'm going to have to go with the tourism bureau on this one.
