    Default Home For The Holidays

    NOT!
Casting caution to the wind and bravely nonreving for the holidays! Boss is flying FCO and AMS over the next 2 holidays. DL gives elevated priority for accompanying crew families which will help and the dates involved are quite open right now. Of course, they'll change, but many of the flights have 40+ seats.
Taking a copy of the Nonrev Prayer and my usual pleas to Heaven will be stepped up a tad.
IF everything works out, I'll have a few days to come home, do laundry and return for the second half of My Great Holiday Adventure!
I've been to Paris for Christmas and Milan for NYE but never the other 2 for a holiday.
Any advice for either city? I've done a bit in each one in totally different seasons!

Never been to FCO but I know some good places in AMS. Hotel JL No76 is a personal favorite. Very close to the museum square in the old Southern part I'll think for some interesting restaurants and bars and get back to you :-)

Oh, btw, for New Year's Eve, go to the Oosterdok which is the place to be for the count down (close to the Maritime Museum).

    Some more AMS info:

Café "De Jaren" for brunch, lunch, coffee , apero
    Restaurant: "le Garage" or "Bond"
Café Loetje -> typical Dutch food
Off course Vondelpark and Amsterdam Oud-Zuid (where the above mentioned hotel is located) are just realy nice and trendy areas to stroll
What's really fun, especially if the weather is sunny, if driving your own electrical boat: http://www.sloepdelen.nl

    Have fun!

Thanks for the electric boat info. That sounds like a lot of fun. If it's chilly, we'll save that for a trip when it's sunny and nice. Love the concept. I'd definitely prefer that than risking my neck on a bicycle there!
I really appreciate the recommendations. Heading to websites now to discover more about them. Cheers!
