That last question couldn't have had correct answers. I have never taken nor have I ever been required to take my iPad out of my carryon going through security. The question about greater than normal liquids threw me as well. I've never been able to find a definitive limitation on the amount of liquid medication that can be brought through security (I've searched their website for customers with that question). The website merely states "reasonable" which can mean anything and nothing so that one wasn't exactly correct either. Interesting to see how I did, though.

And as far as the average time to get through security, it’s obvious these people don’t go through LAX regularly.

I thought breast milk, liquid medicine, and contact solution was all exempt from liquids limits. But apparently only breast milk is a "medical necessity?" Hmmm... and I remember a friend of mine going through with a big ol' bottle of contact solution, and they specifically pointed it out as ok due to medical exemptions. There are a few other things, like taking out an MP3 player? What if it doesn't have a hard drive?
