Just met SpongeBue!!!
All the stars, moons, and planets aligned perfectly on Thursday as I transited DEN. I had texted him to say I was passing thru his beautiful city, and lo and behold, his smiling face was at the gate!!!!!
Had a coffee and a nice chat before my connecting flight. What an awesome surprise!!!

I can verify all this! I woke up with a text that he was on his way, and saw that he had gotten a seat on a flight expected to arrive a little after 8:30. My wife was working at the airport that day, with her shift starting at 8:30. Got the ok from a manager to show up a bit late, found a spot at short-term parking, flashed my badge to get through security, and went to the gate just in time to see the jetbridge pulling up. And Tony's layover was long enough for a cup of coffee and a chat, but short enough that I wouldn't get grief for being gone from work *too* long
