Default Looking for best all inclusive Caribbean resort

Hi, we've been to st. Thomas, st. Johns, Punta cana (twice), aruba. The Paradisus in Punta Cana Dominion Republic has been the nicest so far and had a great interline rate. Unfortunately that was right before our 10 year, almost 11, year old boys were born. It's been revamped and looks different and not as nice now.

We stayed at another resort there that had the largest pool I have ever seen in my life, but can't remember the name of it.

Does anyone know of the latest greatest place for all inclusive that has interline rates ? I prefer the caribbean, I've been to Cancun and two cruises. I like pools, my wife likes the ocean beach so it has to have both.

    Thanks in advance everybody !

BTW I meant caribbean in the post's title.

2 preteen boys? How large a resort do you want? Playa Del Carmen has some recent beach issues, but most Riv Maya beaches are good. I'd be poking around here:

Airline discounts won't be important. You can cross reference later w/booking sites.
Many direct res # can give you generous discounts.
What do you all like to do? I read beach/pool. Food, excursions, etc?

Our faves have been Hacienda Tres Rios (built-in reserve w/activities) and Villa Del Palmar (washer/dryer). Neither have greatest beach but HTR is because of 3 rivers at one point but has lots of other water activities. VDP is right by the ferry to Isla Mujeres for day trip.
There are so many resorts--many are not to our liking--too large or poor food (as in buffets). Your head will 'swim' once you go to tripadvisor--it's full of initials and more...
    Good luck!

Welcome aboard Lex, there’s a seat for you down front and the lounge is to the back.
And if you haven’t already, go on to Jetnet (deals & discounts) all kind of travel deals on there.
BTW, I edited the thread’s title for you. http://

Personally, I stay clear of all AMResorts. Had experiences w/top tier Zoetry (fair but lacking for the hoopla) and Secrets (not ever "fair" in my book--mediocre suites, food and management). We were invited to return on a comped visit and it was no better. We only stayed because it was free.
We've never stayed in the mid-tier Dreams. Some in Mex Riviera get good reviews on TA. Others, not so much. I won't eat @ buffets so maybe that's the appeal to some.
DD--which were your faves? I'd like to check out a few and see if they'd work for us. Boss might be tough to convince, but then again, maybe he won't know about the parent company...
