Thread: SRI LANKA - or not !

Was starting to consider a trip to Sri Lanka sometime next couple of weeks while the weather okay. Was curious to find no flights arriving CMB during day. Investigated - found they doing runway repairs and no flights operating 0830 to 1630. Furthermore have seen reports that tell passengers to arrive CMB airport FIVE hours before departure for flights, check in closing 90 mins before departure, and nowhere for pax to sit except at gate which only opens 60 mins prior departure. AND just seen on flyzed that UL have complete embargo at the moment (not seen anywhere else).

So....this post is twofold...
1. a heads up for anyone considering a trip to Sri Lanka in next few weeks....
2. a request to ask if anyone been there in past 8 weeks, and if so - what the situation (for non revs) is really like. I could get there on oals besides UL, but it sounds like it is a real mess at the moment.
