Looking to venture internationally soon and I can't help but notice that the dress code is much stricter than Stateside. On overnight/longhaul flights on carriers with stricter dress codes (CX, ANA, UA, LH, KLM, etc), would it still be a no-no to change into lounge wear after take off then change back or is it strictly business duds all 14+ hours long?
I got the idea from Air Canada's ruling on flyzed: "Overnight flights: After take-off, you may change into something more comfortable, such as yoga pants or lounge wear. Whatever you change into must be clean and appropriate for public areas nighties, pyjamas, and other sleepwear are not permitted. Please note however, you must change back into your pre-boarding attire before the plane lands." Yoga pants allowed! BA also has a similar ruling.
What's been your experience? Do you even bother?
