I think hordes of arriving pax all loading their carry-ons, suitcases, backpacks and duffel bags onto a shuttle has disaster written all over it.

First a little background, before LAX-it when arriving at LAX one would go straight outside (Departures level) walk out to the curb and pick up their (Uber/Lift/taxi). Time- gate to pick up maybe 10 minutes.

After LAX-it, when arriving you go downstairs to (Arrivals level) walk out to the curb, catch a shuttle which can take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour to reach the remote taxi/rideshare lot. Travel time depending on time of day and/or # of pax traveling with duffel bags, strollers/car seats/ skis etc. - the shuttles are packed.)
Time - gate to pick up 30 minutes to 2 hours. BTW, Uber has requested that you order your ride only when you're in the lot, in line (you'll get a pin#) which you then give to the driver when you get to the front of the line.

LAX officials have apologized for an "unacceptable level of service". Will announce changes later today.
