Hi Everyone,

Thanks for coming to check out the all new Nonrev Network. I'm very excited about it's potential.

I hope you'll get excited about it and want to tell all your airline buddies but oddly enough, I'm going to ask you to hold off on that for right now. I'm hoping that you'll come in, learn your way around, and help me to get it running smoothly.

I've set up a new Support forum at the bottom where you can make suggestions, report bugs, and post questions if you can't figure something out. We'll be learning together. So once we get the hang of it, I'll cut you loose to tell your friends, and I'll be spreading the word with a vengeance as well.

You'll soon see that The Nonrev Forum is rich with new features and capabilities. It's one of the very best available. An enhanced profile makes it a lot like a social network too - you know, like MySpace or Facebook, but a lot more mature and professional for us airline pros.

Please go and update your profile. You can upload a photo, select an "avatar" that will display with every post (we'll be adding more), list your interests, add others to your friends list, list the instant messager you use, and more. I'm still learning all the features myself.

It's not just for travel anymore!! Though our emphasis will always be travel, the network is such a powerful tool that you'll be able to communicate and network with airline employees from all the airlines around the world. I've already added "Job Title" as a profile field so we'll be able to find others with the same jobs at different carriers.

    Hi All,

In this first topic about the new site I asked you to hold off on telling your friends until we could make sure it was running smoothly.

I've now done all the improvements that I have the money and time to do. It's time to go forward and spread the word about the site so I'm cutting you loose! Please tell your friends!

I hope to do a press release and send a large mailing this week to all registered community members and to those who have booked hotels and cars through the site. I'll start contacting employee publications after that. I'll try to pursuade them to do a story on the site to get the word out based on what a great fee service it is.

Let me know if you have any connections or contact information for your carrier's employee publication!

    Thanks!

I'm glad you reverted back to the old format. It's much easier to navigate.

    Hi Evan,

Thanks for taking the time to give me some feedback. I really appreciate it.

I'm sorry to say that was not intentional. When upgrading to the latest software release the new navigation got wiped out.

The way that I had it set up you could easily get to the Forum index by selecting "Forum" in the main dark blue navigation bar.

My intention in making the Community Home page was to display all the latest community activity in one place and to ween current users from the idea that it's JUST a forum. I'm trying to get current users and the new ones comming in to use all the new features - Blog, Gallery, Articles, Services Directory, and the enhanced profiles and search for networking with one another.

What's easier about this navigation for you? Just finding your way to the Forum index?
