You hear about blogging all the time now. So what’s the big deal? What is it exactly any way? "Blog" is short for “weblog”. It’s a way to write a log, or journal and publish it onto the web. So now you don’t have to be a professional journalist to publish your writing. Indeed, many people who have found a particular niche that they can write about with enough passion to gather a significant audience, have left their jobs to blog full time!

Now The Nonrev Blog is available absolutely FREE to interline travelers. You can chronicle your nonrev travels or vent about your nonrev nightmare, but don’t forget to let the rest of us in on the best places to stay, eat, and visit. We want the scoop! And of course we do want to focus on travel but do you need a place to get up on your soap box and rant about the industry or your job? What the heck, go for it.

Here’s just a few features of this powerful new tool:

• Quick and easy set-up
• Choose whether or not to allow other members to add comments
• Choose whether or not to receive email notification when your blog receives a comment
• Choose to allow comments freely or only after your approval
• Friendly web address – send your blog link to friends and family
• Guests can read but only members can comment
• Choose from several features called “Content Blocks” to be displayed along-side your blog
• Track blogs or add them to favorites
• Attach photo albums to your blog entry

To get started blogging you’ll need to register for a free account (if you haven’t already) and fill out some profile information. It just takes a minute or two.

Then select “Blog” from the dark blue navigation menu at the top right of the forum. In the tan area just under the advertisement, select the “Create a blog” link from the far left. You can also create a blog from your “My Controls” link at the top of the forum.

Please post to the Support Forum if you have any questions or if you find any bugs in the new blog.
