Greetings! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Jay. I'm a Delta non-rev and a serious aviation fanatic. I'm currently in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but I lived in the San Antonio area for 18 years and I'm offering my knowledge to all who ask. I'm especially knowledgable about the hill country and the great places to stay and eat around there.

    See you in flight,

    Jay

    Hi Jay
I am a DL non-rev also. Based in DFW Dept. 120 AM shift. I will be sure to contact you when I go to Canyon Lake, and the Guadalupe RIver for a tubing trip.

Well, I'm glad to offer any advice I can! I'll soon be moving back to San Antonio if things work out right...actually back to my old home on the Guadalupe!

Well, I will officially be moving back to Boerne (just northwest of SAT) this Saturday. If any of you end up coming down my way, hit me with an e-mail or something. I might even treat to lunch at the Republic of Texas Restaurant (which, BTW, is the BEST restaurant on the riverwalk!)

Enjoy the summer (unless you're in Texas, in which case you'd better be somewhere with A/C!)

    Jay,
My husband taught at Tapatio Springs golfcourse several years ago. He has wondered in the past two weeks if that ended up under water with the flooding. It is one of his favorite courses in the country.
    Any assistance is appreciated.
    Hope your move goes well.

From what I understand, there was some damage to the course, but they plan to have it taken care of very soon. Unfortunately, parts of that course flood even in mild rain due to the fact that it is all in a very low-lying area. I'll definitely have more information for you after I move down though, as I have friends to visit that live out in that area.
