I have heard that some cruise lines will sell significantly reduced fares for those able to show up at the very last minute.

Anybody know about this? Thanks.

Well, cruise lines do tend to drop fares for non-revs at the last moment. The best rates are booked within a month. Just keep in mind that the cruise must have plenty of available space or they probably won't drop it a lot. Plus, different cruise lines have different rules. I know for sure that Holland America offers the best rates booked within 30 days. This can be up to half off the advance purchase cruise rate. A very good deal. Call one of the non-rev travel agencies for more information and the rules of the various lines.

I have read that they have over-built on the ships in the last several years and have a surplus capacity which has made for some great rates. Go to www.nonrev.net/portal/ and try the Cruise411 banner at the top. If you don't find anything good there, go back to the Nonrev Portal and try the Agencies and the Cruise Lines categories.

If you don't find what you are looking for at
www.nonrev.net/portal try the below links . All have very good deals on cruises for non rev. Be carefull some of them are priced one way only. Which can be a deal if you can hope a flight back home or as a friend of mine did ... Got a dirt cheap trans alantic from England that stopped in Irland, Wales and then on to New york and then hoped a plane home to pit.

http://www.homeportcruises.com is great, too. If it asks you for a password or user name, enter homeport.
