Anyone know of any hotels in Whistler/Blackcomb or Banff that are offering any interline rates during ski season? The hotels I've seen online in Whistler seem pretty pricey(even with the currency conversion). How about Colorado? It's just myself and my husband, so the condo rentals usually are not a bargain for us.
    Thanks!

Here is some info, not necessarily on interline deals but...

I don't know if you have chosen Whistler/Blackcomb or Banff for reasons other than they are the most obvious choices, but let me throw in a few more options that you may not have considered.
    Kicking Horse Resort, Golden BC
Approx 3 hour drive from Calgary (just over an hour past the Lake Louise/Sunshine Village turnoffs) New resort, good snow, decent base, 2600 acres of skiable area, 4000 vertical feet, 78 runs. The great thing about this place is, it's affordable, I've heard firsthand that it's a great hill, it's not much farther than the Banff area hills. Highest restaurant in Canada, at 7700 feet. There are tons of affordable motels in the town of Golden and around, which is just at the bottom of the hill. If you were unsatisfied you could always drive back towards Calgary and ski Louise or Sunshine instead. By comparison, Louise has 4200 acres, 3250 vertical feet and 113 runs, Sunshine is probably similar. The entire area is absolutely breathtaking, being in the Rockies. Downside to Kicking Horse: limited nightlife, not much else to do but winter sports and relax. Look here: www.kickinghorseresort.com

    Fernie Alpine Resort, BC
Approx 3 hours from Calgary, different direction than Golden (south not west). Powder TO DIE FOR. One of my favorite places to ski for that reason alone. A much smaller mountain than any of the others, also very affordable, tons of ski out accomodation b/c it's an older hill. 2500 acres, 2800 vertical feet, 107 runs, 5 bowls. Downside: again, not a whole lot of nightlife to speak of unless you are staying right on the hill. Check here: www.skifernie.com

Of course Whistler/Blackcomb is a great place to ski, dual mountain access, double the amount of skiable terrain. The best thing about Whistler/Blackcomb is the village, it's the ultimate ski resort village. But it's fairly expensive and somewhat overrated IMO. If you are going skiiing for the ambience, Whistler is the place to go, if you are going for the skiing, there are lots of other places to consider to get more for your buck. Try these: www.whistlerblackcomb.com

Similar to Whistler, the Banff area ski resorts (mainly Lake Louise and Sunshine Village) have tons of skiable terrain and lots of runs, vertical, etc. Unfortunately they do not get the greatest snow sometimes, and it can be DAMN COLD! (even by my standards, which would frighten anybody...)

So I guess I did not answer your questions about interline rates, but both Golden and Fernie are very affordable and not that far to drive from Calgary. Both also have last minute deals on their websites that might interest you.
