Thanks for your www.vrbo.com advice. It's been the best place I've looked at for good condo rates. All of the interline rates at the big resorts are in the $150 range. I've been searching vrbo and have many to choose from at about $65-$70 a night. It does take a lot of research though, to make a good choice and ensure your at a nice property.

Can you tell me which one you stayed at? Can anyone else advise on any of these smaller Maui condos.

I'm looking in Kihei at Kauhale Makai and Waiohuli Beach Hale. Both have nice grounds and are on the beach but their little beaches don't look that nice. I could go with Kihei Akahi or Kihei Alii Kai and be across the street from Kamaole Beach #1 or Kamaole Beach #2. Any idea which would be best? Anyone familiar with these beaches?
