Hi everyone!!! Just got back from 5 days in Orlando with myself and 4 teens!!! Besides from being tired we had a great time! I wanted to tell everyone about the great deals I found for our trip! First of all--Theme Park tix/Universal-IOA-
Get 5 days (consecutive) for the price of 2!!!! Go to their web site--www.themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/website/ and then click on tickets/vacation. YOU MUST ORDER AND PAY FOR THE TIX ON LINE TO GET THIS RATE. You can pick up the tix at the park at electronic will call, but you must bring the SAME CREDIT CARD as you used on line to pick up the tix. It's fast and easy and cheap!!!! Our rate was $85.95 + tax/per tix and $2.00 for electron will call!!! That's 5 days for the price of 2!!!!
Second--Lodging--I got a rate of only 50.00+tax per night at the Comfort Suites Orlando on Turkey Lake Road. This very comfortable hotel has a nice tropical pool area and the rooms are mini-suites. The bathroom is large with ample vanity area and each room has 2 queens and a pull out sleeper-sofa. They say the rooms accomodate 5 but you could do 6 with 2 on the sleeper sofa. They also have a nice-INCLUDED with the rate--continental breakfast in the am. It includes toast, bagels, muffins, 2 cereals, juices coffee, milk and fruits. Nothing fancy but the teens liked it and got full!!! (a feat with teens) I found this hotel thru www.id90.com. You must register to use this site but it is Free to register. Then go to Accomodations. . .etc. This hotel has a great location, just turn left on Turkey Lake road to go to Universal (approx 2 miles) or turn right to go to Disney (approx 3 miles) but you MUST RENT A CAR to stay here! And that brings me to my last recommendation--Car Rental--I got an intermediate size car (we actually had a candy apple red Altima-spelling?)from Dollar for 14.99+tax & fees per day via their web site. I just checked and the lowest price now is 20.00/day--still not bad. Also, if you go to www.nrevbook.com/ and then go to Car rental then Discounts--it will give you discount codes to get some of the best rates as a nonrev in the industry!!! I hope this helps for anyone going to Orlando in the near future. Universal is having Mardi Gras thru April on Fri and Sats with a parade that they throw beads and coins and naturally the kids had a great time! Also the park pass is good for BOTH parks back and forth as much as you want and also City Walk. I also found that SEAWORLD had a deal on their internet site at buy a day and get one free. Universal also offers an upgrade option to annual park pass for an extra $69.00 it you're planning on staying longer or going back later. Hope this helps anyone looking for some good deals in MCO. Maybe Debbie has some info to add to this! Have fun!!!
