I will be staying at the Mandalay Bay Resort for the first time. Can anyone suggest which location of the resort has the nicest rooms?

Mandalay Bay is one of my favorite hotels. The standard rooms are great and run about 500 sq. ft. with floor to ceiling windows. If you're referring to a room with a view, the choice views are of the Strip (FijI wing) or overlooking the pool. I ask nicely when I check in, sometimes I'm lucky.
Tips- No room safe, it can be a l-o-n-g way from the elevator to your room, don't forget your room key when you go down to the pool, you'll need it to get in and definitely stop by Red Square with its' ice bar and vodka locker, just to see of course
Seven out. Take the line..new shooter coming out.

Thanks for the info. I was speaking about the rooms. We always stay at the Rio and I usually get a view of the loading docks and for once I want to be able to to look out the window at something other that garbage containers. When I made the res.at Mand.Bay they asked if I wanted a room near the elevator. Do you know why they would ask that?
We are not going until October. My brother is throwing a surprise 50th B day for his wife in Vegas. So if you have any other tips, please pass them along.
Oh there's a reason all right. It can be quite a trek from the elevator to your room; which one tends to notice if weighted down with buckets of quarters. ( I haven't run into the problem ) BTW, you can guarantee a room with a view for an additional $25 a night, personally I just cross my fingers.
Entertainment-besides the casino, pool and spa, the Mandalay has a theater, (I saw "Chicago" there) right now they're performing "Mamma Mia!", an Events Center (concerts and boxing) and the House of Blues (concerts), check Mandalay's website for a schedule. A day at the spa or show tickets might be a nice surprise. There's also a shark reef exhibit ( a kind of walk through aquarium) in my opinion, not worth the money. Definitely go to the Mandalay website and sign up for their e-mails, lots of special promotions.
Have fun and good luck
