Chidbar, there's so much to do in Washington. If you haven't done it, try one of those hop-on/hop-off sightseeing tours. For something outside the city, try Colonial Williamsburg (150 miles)

This may be a day late and a dollar short, but someone wanting travel to the DC area may be interested. What can you do in the area? Here is my suggestion. MARYLAND and vicinity has an interesting past time called DUCK PIN BOWLING. Have you ever tried it? You better hurry, they are shutting down, and it is a dying sport. Here is a terrific web site someoone posted. You should make an effort to go to one of the lanes. I grew up in the DC area and first learned of DUCK PINS in WHEATON MD. I have heard that since, its been knocked down. But there are more Duck pin lanes around. They are particularily big in Maryland and Connecticut though it is found in most of the Eastern states. This sport started in Baltimore in 1900. They have a similar thing in New England, called CANDLEPIN bowling. Its a little different, especially the size of the pins, and different design. Gotta try a game or two of Duckpins. Instead of a regualar bowling ball, its a cannon size ball that fits in your palm, and you wing it down the lanes to smaller sized pins. Go to this site for more information.
