Murphy's law--Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
Addendum to Murphy's law--you can never run out of things that can go wrong.
Murphy's constant--If you perceive that there are four possible ways in which something can go wrong, and circumvent these, then a fifth way, unprepared for, will promptly develop.

This is not your usual non-rev trip report. First because we drove to Denver and second, well...did you ever have one of those trips where you found yourself in a world where Murphy's laws had replaced the laws of nature and you were forever saying things like "I don't believe this", "this can't be happening" and the always fatal "can anything else possibly go wrong?" Well, this was my trip to Denver. So while I can tell you where to get snow cables, suggest an alternate route to L.A. when a rockslide closes down the westbound lanes of I-70 just outside of Denver and what to do in a 2 hour traffic jam outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. I don't have a lot of Denver sightseeing tips. I do however, have a list of things we'd planned to do. Hopefully it will be of help to those of you, who do manage to visit Denver without a detour into Murphy's World. If you would like details of my trip, let me know and I'll write something up. However be forwarned, my story is NOT for the faint of heart.
Denver -The Mile High City
You can see metro Denver in a day, however you'll need a car, a lot of the attractions are outside the city. BTW to prove Denver is the mile high city, just head over to the state capitol. There's a spot on the west steps of the building that is exactly 5,280 feet above sea level.
Be advised there are a lot of one-way streets in downtown Denver and it is almost impossible to talk your way out of a ticket.
Buffalo Bill Museum & Gravesite/Lookout Mountain
The museum includes exhibits about Buffalo Bill's life and his Wild West show. Lookout Mountain offers a terrific view over Denver, and you can see four states even in the pouring rain.
Please note, that you can get a full refund in the museum gift shop if you lose your quarter in the coin operated telescopes. www.buffalobill.org
Things we'd planned to do but circumstances got in the way. Hopefully you're have better luck
