Hi There:
Can anyone recommend me a good hotel in Downtown Boston. We like bike riding, so any BIKE routes would be great as well.
Many thanks!

Hi Pisces, welcome to the forum.
We've been to Boston a couple of times and trust me the hotels are expensive. Needless to say we've always stayed outside the city, the last time in Saugus, at the Days Inn, about 15 miles outside of Boston. BTW the hotel has a free shuttle to Logan.
As far as bicycling, it seemed to me that half the city commutes on bikes. One afternoon we went for a walk down by the Charles River and there was a very active bike/walking/jogging/skating path. I think the path goes pass the Museum of Science, but as I had an ice cream emergency ( my two scoops fell off the cone ) I didn't get that far.
For more Boston info drop a line to Donna, the Phoenix correspondent, she helped me when I was planning my trip.
Have fun and watch yourself in the rotaries.

Many thanks for your response and suggestion. I'll be careful when i get my ice cream
I also have stayed at that Days Inn & would recommend it.
A good steak restaurant just a few minutes walk away. Sorry I just don't remember the name...

Boston is expensive. I know the DAYS INN in Saugus the gentleman was referring to. At the time I went there during OCTOBER, it was 140 bucks per night. This was back in 1998. Why so high? FOILAGE SEASON, plus a couple of other events. I had just gotten there from a long treck while living on Saipan, and didn't want to bother the old man, whom comes from there, which is why I got a hotel room for some good rest before I contacted him. Be sure to call way in advance and remember, October is a rough time there. Lots of folks want to use BOSTON as a takeoff point into the rest of New England during the leaf season.
