Thread: Completed trip: AVP to PHX

Just an FYI...

My Mother completed a trip yesterday, starting last week from AVP to PHX.

I'm an HP employee, and she was WELL RECEIVED by the US staff at AVP; possibly due to the recent news. At check-in they gave her a seat assignment, they were also asking her who I was, where I worked, etc. She said the flight to PHL was only 1/2 full, and the pilot asked people to move around for balancing.

In PHL, our PHL-PHX flight was oversold, so she went with plan B, flew FL to ATL, then HP from there. Again, she said the staff of FL were very nice and even helped her put her bag in the overhead bin. The HP flight ATL-PHX had plenty of seats left, and she arrived fine.

The return trip yesterday went smoothly, thankfully she made it on the PHX-PHL flight on HP, although she had a middle seat (our staff were very apologetic). Again the US staff in PHL were extremely nice to her and gave her a seat right away, and she arrived back at AVP on time.

So just an FYI, if anyone is trying to get into NE PA, it seems that AVP is pretty accessible, at least on US from PHL.
