First time on this website-full of great info! Looking for advice to non-rev from ATL-HNL, with plans to take delta or nwa (husband works for NWA). I would like to go asap after August 22 (somewhere in the next few days, preferrably but I'm relatively flexible). My problem is I have a toddler traveling with me, which is an added stress. Any advice on best flights/ideas would be very appreciated!
    Thank you!

ATL-HNL is Delta's most popular route. I've seen pass riders stranded in HNL for days. Traveling non-rev with a toddler is not the best choice.

You're always better off flying on your 'own' airline whenever possible. You are usually at a higher standby priority, even if you are not with the employee.

Why not try to get to LAX somehow (I'm sure there's various ways to do that on NW), then take NW from there.

You can get to HNL on NWA via Lax, Sea, Msp and PDX. As stated by others, it is always best to try to non-rev on your own airline because you will be higher on the non-rev list. Traveling with an infant can be tough so you may have to fly to Sea or PDX and stay over-night then catch your flight the next day. Getting out via LAX will be tough (extremely busy airport) if I were you, I would try the smaller airports such as PDX.

August is a high travel month, I have had many co-workers stranded in HNL for days at a time trying to get home.

    Good Luck
