I am flying for the first time on a Delta Buddy pass(S4) and just wanted to know if anyone could give me any advice about the Buddy pass. I will be flying out on July 16th from CLT, connecting in ATL, and then arrving at SAT, returning the same way on the 21st. Any advice?

Flight loads look pretty good for nonreving. It is usually pretty easy to nonrev out of and into Charlotte. Depending on the hire date of the person who gave you the buddy pass, you should probably be able to get on any of the flights out of CLT. The first to ATL leaves at 6AM. Then you would take flight 1480 to SAT. It is always better to get on the earliest flight possible. All you have to do to check in is go over to the Delta Direct phones near the Delta counter and tell them you are on a buddy pass. It is recommended to not check any bags in case you have to change your route. You should be OK for your flight back to CLT, also. Have fun!

Thanks! But the person who gave me the pass told me to go to the kiosk and scan my eticket instead. Is the other way faster? Also, I have seen on several websites that you have to have the credit card that you placed the reservation on with you at the time you check in. Will I still need this even if I have an eticket? And yes, I am taking a carry on bag (advice from the employee who gave me the pass).
