Does anyone know how non-reving to Maui in June is. What about hotels near the airport? I am planning a cruise leaving from Maui.

Hawai'i in June? You might get lucky, but it all depends on how many backup passes you have in hand. In all honesty I think suicide would be easier than trying to non-rev to Hawai'i in June. Choose well, choose wisely and seriously consider a mid-week departure. Early June can be better than late June.
It's difficult to do Maui on the cheap. You should pick up the current (May 2006) edition of Arthur Frommers Budget Travel magazine for an excellent read on affordable Maui written by a local. The article gives recommendations for out of the way accommodations, local food establishments and suggestions on how to see the real Maui, not just what's been built for tourists.

Any good ideas on purchasing cheap tickets from Calif. to Maui roundtrip? I live on the east coast and could non-rev to Calif. Also, have enough Skymiles miles to get to Calif. I'm an airline retiree and haven't flown much lately. Thanks.
Take a look at Aloha, they have a spring special fare that runs through the end of June.
Have fun.

Check Pleasant Hawaiian Holiday's web site, www.pleasantholidays.com Occassionally they offer air only specials on their ATA charters.
ATA.com is another option and as for Aloha, they don't fly from LAX. Only SNA, SMF, OAK, SAN at last check.
But then remember LCC's don't alway beat Legacy on price. So, use Travelocity or Expedia and see what's available. Then check the price on the airline's own site. Airlines regularly say that you'll only find their best price on their site. I regularly use Travelocity and Expedia to give me an idea where to start.
Don't limit yourself to nonstop flights. Sometimes a HNL connection may save money (though not always).
By the way, have you paid for that cruise yet? You could always postpone 'till mid-September thru October and have your pick of airlines, seats and hotel discounts.

Yes, the cruise is paid for. Unfortunately, I didn't think about how to get to OGG when booking the cruise. The cruise was a great deal so I don't feel too bad if I have to pay for a ticket to get there.... just want the best rate possible. Also, have a friend traveling with me on a buddy pass, so will probably have no choice but purchase confirmed seats.
