want to try & get from Australia to Canada in late DEC-early JAN during peak season.

    Any suggestions ?

    Xmas Day ?

Am I better just finding cheapest earlybird wholesale net fare now ? Apparently the cheapest net got down to AUD$950/adult + taxes/charges in DEC last year.

Christmas day is a great idea when trying to travel during winter break. I have done ATL-JNB on Christmas day and it was wide open compared to the days after. My brother has also done ATL-GRU on Christmas day and it was the same deal. Christmas day is your best bet, and coming back the second week of January sounds like a sure bet!

That nett probably would have been for early December - high season kicks in on Dec 10.
I can definitely reccommend 24 or 25 December or 31 December (for some unknown reason) if using AC. I don't suggest trying to nonrev Northbound during 15-23 Dec or 26-30 Dec and definitely never the first 8-10 days of Jan.
