Could anyone tell me if zed tickets for American Airways routing EWR-DWF-PNS, where DWF-PNS is operated by American Eagle are valid for travel. What I mean is can I travel on American Eagle?

I am fairly sure you can, besides, you can travel on any airline on the same route with ZED as I understand. AE and AA both belong to AMR and work side by side.

In terms of ZED travel American Eagle is just deemed as the commuter part of American and so the tickets are valid on both provided that American Eagle is the operating carrier rather than the marketing carrier where the flight is physically operated by another carrier in which case your ticket must be valid for that carrier.
Note: Other carriers on the same route should take your ZED ticket but some don't really know the rules so to guarantee acceptance get the ticket endorsed as valid for all such carriers.

P.S. I'm assuming you mean DFW and not DWF !!

Every one of American's agreements include the flights and employees of American Eagle. So, if your airline has a ZED or ID90 agreement with American, then you are eligible for travel on American Eagle.
