Anyone been to Ottawa? Planning a run there when the cool air comes in October.

It has been several years but I have enjoyed several visits to Ottawa.
Like any nations Capitol the city boasts many museums and cultural events. The museum I remember best is the Canadian Museum of Civilization http://www.civilization.ca/visit/indexe.aspx
The Byward Market downtown was a great place to get handmade items and maple syrup or candy. The market is also a farmers market with fresh fruit and veggies to make a picnic lunch. http://www.byward-market.com/
If you were going in the heart of winter you could watch a hockey game or ice skate down the canals to Parliment. Though in the fall an easy drive to the south and up and down the St. Lawrence river will give you a great color leaf tour.
Wish I could give you hotel info, but every time I stayed the room was provided by the person I was traveling with job.
It is a very nice city, enjoy.
Thank you very much for that. I think I'll try that foilage scenery. How is the bar scene? Food, gambling?
