Help with DL ATL-REC-FOR

Hey everyone, I thought I had posted on this before but cannot find it now.
Anyhow DL is now flying Atlanta to Recife Brasil to Fortaleza Brasil and back to Atlanta.

My questions are these, can I jump OFF at Recife and stay a couple days and if so then can I get back ON the flight at Recife and go onto Fortaleza & Atlanta????
Please anyone I need some help with this. It would be a dream not to have to buy a ticket from RIO or GRU to REC and still get to visit my friends.

why not try "booking" a tkt on travelnet with split dates? if it doesn't wokr, it doesn't--but it should work like the ATL/DKR/JNB or JFK/DKR/CPT (which BTW, the CPT flights are being cut)
I'll take a look later and see what it says--my friends are in Recife, too., but the visa is an issue

I'd be surprised if DL has traffic rights between between REC & FOR. If they don't then it is likely they also won't accept staff, except maybe there own if there are no service charges collected.

Well I booked it on travelnet our employee website for ATL-REC Dec 30 (SOOO Excited cannot wait 1 1/2 more days) and REC-FOR-ATL returning on the 2nd so I would hope that the system wouldn't let me book it that way if it were not possible to actually travel that way. A friend at SGF station told me that I could probably do it but not be allowed off of the aircraft in FOR since DL cannot fly pax REC-FOR - If I remember correctly what he texted me.
