Thread: One World Trade Center

Hello, gang. Who's been to the Memorial and/or the Observatory? I can ride @ 35,000 feet but the deck here freaks me out. I had a rough time on VIP VAB tour years ago (glass bottom elevator) and forget the Space Needle unless facing the wall. Not sure when that phobia got really bad but it wasn't too bad except VAB. I doubt I'll waste the $32 or the time to venture upward.
We'll be in Long Island this week then taking train to Penn station. Any pointers/tips? I haven't been in the city for years (used to live near Macy's) but my apt view down to Twin Towers was not quite the same. I've been to Windows on the World so I have very different memories now. Our last visit to Ground Zero is indelible. We just want to visit the memorial and say our "peace".
