    Ok this is what I heard
    The toddle was a dance like the foxtrot, popular in the Roaring Twenties.
    Some (like the evangelist Billy Sunday) thought the dance indecent and fought to have it banned at public dances. The toddle, jazz, bootleg liquor, speakeasies and Al Capone all part of Chicago history.
