Thread: SFO - Runway Closure Sept. 7-27

SFO will close runway 28L for repairs September 7-27. All flights (domestic & international) arriving after 9am are to expect delays and cancellations during the construction. Flight delays are expected to average 30 to 45 minutes, with some flights delayed up to 2 hours. The worst days for delays Wednesday & Fridays

Alternate airports in the Bay Area - OAK and SJC

Driving L.A./San Francisco

On I-5, maybe 5/6hours (very boring drive with lots of trucks
On HWY 1 , maybe 2 nights if you stop to see all the great sights along the way - Carmel, Hearst Castle, 17 Mile Drive, etc.. *wink*
