Your home is your castle right WRONG? This is a scarey topic but one I thinks needs to be addressed. Most of us think this will never happen to me & I pray that it never does. Lets talk a minute or so about how to avoid this & what if the worst does happen ?
Ways to avoid:
Very simple, keep your doors & windows locked. ALWAYS. Some one knocks on your door, NEVER answer it till you know who is on the other side.
Keep your window shades closed. Don't let someone get a peek at what's inside. Home alone. never let it look that way. Keep the television on or radio on possibly on a talk show station. When driving home: The key is be alert all time. Know what cars are behind you. If you have any reason to think you are being followed do not go home but to the nearest police, fire station or other open business. You should already know where these are.
Now should the worst happen, nothing is itched in cement but you must give your self the best chance. That means HAVE A PLAN BEFORE YOU NEED IT.
Just like you would to escape a fire. You need to get someone out of the house to get help. And often that is children.Talk to them about this in advance. You need to have a family survival plan.
They should scream, shatter windows. It should sound like chaos, but the object is to escape. I know all this sounds dangerous but your only other option is is to do nothing and let them decide how they will end it for you.
Manytimes family members are forced into the master bath. If you have an extra hand gun, this is a good place to have it.
I know in a subject like this I have not covered it all. I may have left more questions than answers. Please feel free to ask here or send me an email at he email address I have for something like this.
